Embarking on a journey to the heart of Swiss watchmaking, the GWC team had the extraordinary privilege of visiting TUDOR’s state-of-the-art Manufacture in Le Locle, Switzerland, and attending the prestigious Watches & Wonders 2025 in Geneva.
For those of us deeply passionate about luxury timepieces, this was more than just a trip—it was a rare glimpse into the soul of a brand that has seamlessly blended heritage, precision, and innovation for decades.
Nestled in the Jura Mountains, Le Locle is a town steeped in watchmaking history, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site for its horological significance. In 2021, TUDOR inaugurated its first dedicated Manufacture here, marking a new era for the
brand. The facility spans over 5,500 square meters across four levels, seamlessly integrating traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology. Its striking red façade and energy-efficient design, featuring SageGlass-equipped bay windows and rooftop solar panels, embody TUDOR’s dedication to sustainability and aesthetic harmony.
The moment we stepped inside, we were in awe. The precision, the meticulous attention to detail, and the absolute dedication of the watchmakers were mesmerizing. Witnessing a TUDOR timepiece come to life—from movement assembly to quality control—was like watching a symphony of craftsmanship and engineering.
The Manufacture’s integration with the neighboring Kenissi facility, TUDOR’s movement production arm founded in 2016, further demonstrated the brand’s commitment to producing high-performance mechanical calibers. Every timepiece undergoes rigorous testing to ensure unparalleled quality and precision—something we at GWC are incredibly proud to bring to our clients.
Attending Watches & Wonders in Geneva was an experience like no other. The atmosphere was electric—watch enthusiasts, journalists, and industry insiders gathered to witness the future of horology. The anticipation for TUDOR’s novelties was palpable, and the brand did not disappoint.
The Black Bay Chrono has been reimagined with a reworked case and two dial options: panda and reverse panda. Powered by the Manufacture Calibre MT5652 movement, this model offers enhanced performance and comes with the option of a 3-link or 5-link bracelet, both featuring the “T-Fit” clasp for optimal comfort.
The new Black Bay Pro retains the 39mm diameter case and fixed steel bezel but introduces a distinct opaline dial. This design enhances legibility and adds a touch of elegance to the technical model, which continues to feature a built-in GMT function.
For the first time, the Black Bay 58 is presented with an all-burgundy dial and bezel, exuding vintage charm. This model also debuts on a 5-link bracelet equipped with the T-fit rapid adjustment clasp, combining classic aesthetics with modern functionality. Additionally, the Black Bay 58 Burgundy is METAS certified, underscoring its exceptional accuracy and precision.
A bold new addition to the collection, the Black Bay 68 features a 43mm case and is available in two striking color configurations.
Engineered for professional saturation divers, the Pelagos Ultra is a technical marvel with waterproof capabilities up to 1,000 meters. Featuring advanced materials and a proprietary bracelet adjustment system, it is built for the most demanding underwater explorations. The Pelagos Ultra is also METAS certified, highlighting its commitment to chronometric excellence.
This journey was more than just a professional visit—it was an experience that deepened our connection to the world of horology. Walking through the halls of the TUDOR Manufacture and witnessing these innovations at Watches & Wonders reinforced why we do what we do at GWC. We are not just retailers; we are curators of history, craftsmanship, and innovation.
We are thrilled to bring these remarkable timepieces to our clients. Whether you’re drawn to the heritage of the Black Bay collection or the technical prowess of the Pelagos Ultra, TUDOR has something truly special to offer.
Visit our boutique to explore these extraordinary timepieces in person, and let us guide you through the next chapter of your watch collection.
