Rolex and Global Watch Company (GWC) history

With over 25 years of experience in fine watchmaking and jewellery, Sassan Pourfar founded Global Watch Company (GWC) in 2008 with a vision to bring precision, artistry, and service of the highest standard to Vancouver.



Since then, Global Watch Company (GWC) has grown in close partnership with Rolex, becoming a leading destination for luxury timepieces and fine jewellery in Canada. In 2016, it opened Canada’s first and largest free-standing Rolex boutique, a landmark moment that welcomed the city’s most discerning collectors and introduced a new generation to the world of Rolex. 



Today, Global Watch Company (GWC) is proud to be rooted in Vancouver’s culture of design and innovation. As an Official Rolex Retailer in Canada, we share an enduring passion for craftsmanship, innovation, and the art of time with our local and global clientele.
